Killtown Bookings

Now booking: Deathcult (ch) + Lucifericon (nl) “Across the Northern Void” 27th March – 10th April 2019

Killtown Bookings is proud to announce that we will commence the booking of the following tour:

Almost a decade ago DEATHCULT of Switzerland and LUCIFERICON from the Netherlands was formed. Parallel to each other they’ve both been operating in the same pitch black environments to develop and refine their art. Now, time has finally come for their paths to cross as they form an unholy coalition with one shared goal – to defile new territories and spread their message of death and decay.
During the spring of 2019 they will head out on a crusade across the northern parts of Europe, penetrating and destroying the minds of all standing in the way with their blackened chants of death metal.
The planned route stretches across Scandinavia, the Baltics and the northern parts of central Europe (Holland, Germany, Poland) and it presents some exclusive live opportunities as it contains countries in which the bands has not yet played in.

Be sure not to miss this extraordinary event and remember that in times of turmoil, only death is real!

Dates will be 29th March – 10th April 2019.

Get in touch with michaela.killtownbookings(a) if you are interested in bringing this package to your hometown.

DEATHCULT (ch) – Invictus Productions

Founded by M. Goathammer in 2010, Deathcult’s journey started with their first strike, Demo MMXII, released through Invictus Productions. The band’s original line-up featured a number of experienced and very talented musicians from bands such as Blakk Old Blood, Asag and Bölzer and since the beginning Deathcult hasn’t failed to deliver anything apart from first class Death Metal.
2014 the EP Pleading for Death… Choking on life (Me Saco Un Ojo Records) find its way on wax. Then after a bitter setback, the death of bassist D. Virgin Killer and a changeover at the vocals the band released their first full length in 2016 through Invictus Productions and Iron Bonehead Productions, called Beasts of faith. Across its nine tracks, Beasts of Faith ravages and roars, surging with a bestial violence but never spilling into aimless chaos; its violence is tangible and terrible, but is always patiently and proudly parlayed.
The quartet’s sound betrayed a wealth of classic influences – namely early Morbid Angel, Death, Possessed, Sepultura, and Necrovore – but the filth ‘n’ fury was certainly in place, and the band have now maximized that malevolent spirit with hook-laden songwriting and gut-churning crunch.

“Amongst the hordes of mediocre takes on old-school death metal that waste our time ever since the genre came into fashion again, DEATHCULT rape the competition with their new album “Beasts Of Faith”!” Panos Agoros, Legacy Future

LUCIFERICON (nl) – Invictus Productions

Lucifericon are a study in patience and poise. Founded in 2009, it wasn’t until 2012 when the band’s first public recording, The Occult Waters EP, reared its shadowy head. Although The Occult Waters was the band’s debut, the seemingly “new” Lucifericon was actually comprised of a number of metal scene veterans, its members having done time as Destroyer 666, Pentacle, Malicious Dream, and Excision among others. Naturally, at this stage, the quartet deeply understood the Metal of Death and proceeded to offer a unique, more atmospheric twist on it. Four years later followed another EP, Brimstone Altar, to further critical acclaim. Here, Lucifericon’s death metal was blackened to a crisp, its robust recording allowing every evil nuance to spill from the soundfield and further bewitch the eardrums.

With that envious foundation judiciously set, at last arrives Lucifericon’s first full-length recording, Al-Khem-Me. Tongue-twistingly titled but aptly so, Al-Khem-Me keeps apace with the developments of Brimstone Altar and further masters the art of the “patient payoff.” Its blackened DEATH literally explodes from the very first seconds, but the band’s songwriting builds detail upon subtle detail despite the obvious aggression employed. Utterly gnarled and gnarling, the lurch ‘n’ lunge across Al-Khem-Me creates a bewilderingly slipstreaming effect, dragging the listener into a distant, nameless vortex, but always with a keen knack for memorability. For above all, this is METAL, unbending and unyielding, forged in fire and wielded as a weapon; it just so happens that Lucifericon’s is one fully set on attack, its intensity steeped in the grand traditions of late ’80s / early ’90s death. Al-Khem-Me heralds the grand arrival of Lucifericon!

KETZER (de) – Metal Blade Records
Based in Cologne, Ketzer (“heretic” in German) is comprised of Gerrit (vocals), David (bass), Marius (guitars), Chris (guitars), and Sören (drums), all of who joined together as teenagers to release Satan’s Boundaries Unchained (2009). Hailed as one of the best blackened-thrash metal records of recent years, the quintet’s debut launched them out of the underground and onto some of Germany’s most prestigious festival bills – such as Party San and Rock Hard. Their first European tour took place soon after in 2011, where they conquered new territory: Poland, France, Italy, Denmark, amongst others.

In 2012, Ketzer released their sophomore album, Endzeit Metropolis, which saw the band’s musical direction progress: their raw energy was channelled into a more open-minded, yet faster and darker kind of Heavy Metal. Following a second European trek (featuring Tribulation and Venenum) and more of the scene‘s finest festivals like Extremefest and Hell‘s Pleasure, Ketzer then embarked on their biggest journey so far: the band’s first USA tour! With a small collection of freshly written songs, they broke new ground on American soil in 2014, and upon their return home, were inspired to write new material once again.

In 2016, Starless, the third album by Ketzer and their first on Metal Blade Records, offered songs of the universe and tunes of the spheres, – it took the listener on a journey that was unexpected, yet familiar at the same time. Thematically, the album explored the crack between religion and reality and the search for a truth in between. Consistently following their path with a stripped-down and raw, yet melodic version of their sound, Starless set another milestone in the heretics‘ history. This time, the European roads were conquered in complicity with fellow Black Metal outlaws Svartidauði and Primordial. That year and the next, Starless was brought to more festivals like Summer Breeze and Rock Hard, for a second time.

For two years now, Ketzer have been working on something new, and the result is something new indeed: Somehow linking every aspect essential to their sound through the years, these eight new tunes might well be the strongest Ketzer songs to date. Via Metal Blade Records, a new Ketzer album will be released in spring 2019.

SLÆGT (dk) – Ván Records
Slægt from Copenhagen, Denmark, is the sound and essence of four hearts and minds locking together and joining forces towards the unknown. The band consists of some of the most energetic musicians on the current metal scene – Olle Bergholz provides the gut plucking bass tone, Adam ‘CC’ Nielsen lets go in a fury of thunderous drumming, Anders M. Jørgensen writhes and takes over souls with his guitar ripping while Oskar J. Frederiksen is in the center, complimenting Jørgensen on guitar and giving the band its vocal expression through passionate and insightful lyrics.
Slægt has found their very own, unique style of playing heavy metal. Stylistically influences are drawn from a broad spectrum of such diverse movements as the NWOBHM, the black metal scene(s) of the 80’s and 90’s and everything in between and beyond. Slægt plays an epic blackened heavy metal but without any kind of limitation when approaching the style. They explore unseen territories and go beyond the obvious norms of heavy metal, which makes them sound fresh and progressive. The darkness within the riffs and lyrics flows with dark blasts of energy.
Oskar J. Frederiksen started the band in 2011 and released a demo, a split 7” and the full-length “Ildsvanger” (Posh Isolation) with Nielsen on drums in 2015, before Slægt became a full orchestra. Slægt released the “Beautiful and Damned” EP (Iron Bonehead Productions) in 2015 which gave the band a healthy dose of attention while also fuelling the fires, that keeps it going. This led to a deal with Ván Records and in 2017 Slægt released their highly acclaimed debut full length as a four-piece: “Domus Mysterium”. With great reviews, nominations and awards as album of the year in both Denmark and abroad, it has certainly been a milestone in Slægt’s journey so far. Following it up, Slægt played victorious concerts at events such as Copenhell, Roskilde Festival and toured through Europe with Venenum in February 2018.
Now Slægt is once again dimming lights and opening fire with the brand new full-length “The Wheel”. A challenging, yet soothing record that perfectly picks up the thread from “Domus Mysterium”. Discover the beautiful and damned sons, from the house of mysteries, doing all they can to escape the boundaries of the wheel.

Slægt announced for Roadburn 2019!

SLÆGT just announced for Roadburn 2019 as part of Tomas Lindbergs curation!

Slægt will play Thursday 11th April 2019!

Here is what Tomas has to say about Slægt:
“When I think of heavy metal, there is a certain feeling I am after. A special haunting, emotional impact that I’m seeking. Nowadays, with a total over-saturation of new bands, I will always be super excited when I get that same feeling that was there when I first got into underground metal. Slaegt is one of those rare examples.

“Saying this, I don’t mean that they are a retro style act in any sense. They are constantly pushing forward, exploring new ways to develop their own style of blackened heavy metal. Fans of Dissection, Morbus Chron and Tribulation won’t be disappointed. I was overwhelmed when I got my hands on their latest offering and I keep coming back to it. I look forward to share those special emotions with the Roadburn fanatics. I think what ALL underground, “true” art is about is about an honest expression and this is something that Slægt has a lot of. To them black metal is not a pose; be ready for some serious realness.”

Tour announcement; “The Putrefying Road of the Fifteen Corridors” w/ DEMILICH (fin) and SPECTRAL VOICE (us)!!!

Killtown Bookings is proud to present the final routing for “The Putrefying Road of the Fifteen Corridors” w/ DEMILICH (fin) and SPECTRAL VOICE (us)!

Demilich have deservedly become one of the most legendary bands to emerge from the Finnish metal underground. While they are obscure in the grand scheme of things, they are well known in the underground and probably need no introduction to most underground death metal fans as they could be considered one of the most important bands in codifying the “dissonant and technical” strain of death metal. Since Demilich have never toured Europe before these concerts will be the first club shows in mainland Europe ever since their inception back in 1990!

Spectral Voice from Denver, Colorado plays slow rotting death/doom from beyond the grave. Focusing on gloomy funeral atmosphere and ancient death metal feeling their 2017 debut album “Eroded Corridors of Unbeing” has created massive international attention towards the band. Signed to Dark Descent Records they return for a follow up tour to last years succesful Euro run with Blood Incantation!

“The Putrefying Road of the Fifteen Corridors” tour will hit 4 international festivals across Europe starting off at the resurrection of KIll-Town Death Fest in Copenhagen, Denmark (6th-9th Sept.). On the way they will also hit Bloodshed Festival in Eindhoven, The Netherlands (14th-15th Sept.), NRW Death Fest in Wermelskirchen, Germany (21st-22nd Sept). Saturday 22nd will be the final show for Demilich, but Spectral Voice will continue another week alone through Eastern Europe ending up the tour at Chaos Ritual Fest in Bülach, Switzerland on the 29th of September!

Do not miss out on this rare oportunity to see these bands!
