Hailing from Zurich, Switzerland, Deathcult was born in 2010. The first strike, Demo MMXII was released in 2012 by Invictus Productions. Early on, the band’s sound betrayed a wealth of classic influences, 80s, and early 90s Death Metal. In 2014 the EP Pleasding for death…Choking on life, was released by Me Saco Un Ojo records. The EP shows the maximized malevolent Bands spirit, hook-laden songwriting and gut-churning crunch at that time. It also marks the last performance of O. Ketzer, as a vocalist and guitarist in Deathcult.
In 2016 the debut album Beasts Of Faith (Invictus Production and Iron Bonehead) spat out to the masses and was the debut performence of S.Phoberos as the new singer in Deathcult. Anno 2022 the second full-length Of Soil unearthed was released which was the last activity with former member P. Nekros (guitars).
On the road, Deathcult showed its Metal of Death to the audience around Europe and played a lot of single shows and festivals like Kill-Town Death Fest, Hells Pleasure, Inferno Festival Oslo, Metal Magic, A Sinister Purpose, Chaos Ritval, Eros At Arms among others and did a tour with the dutch Death Metal band Lucifericon (Killtown Bookings) in 2019.
