Aphotic pursues unprecedented darkness by expanding death metal boundaries towards the creation of abysmally profound ambiences and filling them with dense layering of guitar arrangements and synthesizer exploration.
Released in March 2023 by Nuclear Winter Records (EU) and Sentient Ruin Laboratories (USA), their debut full-length “Abyssgazer” comes as the first, bold statement of a long-brewed alchemy, meticulously crafted under the experience of audio engineer Greg Chandler (Priory Recording Studios, UK) and mastered by Colin Marston (The Thousand Caves Studio, NYC).
Aphotic is based around Milan, Italy, and consists of members involved in different death metal projects in the area. Kill-Town Death Fest 2023 will mark the debut live show of the band.
