Night Gaunt was born in Rome in November 2013 with the intent to play dark, heavy and emotional music.
With two full lenghts (“Night Gaunt”, 2014, on Bloodrock Records, and “The Room”, 2018, on Terror From Hell Records) and two Eps (“Jupiter’s Fall”, 2016, on Temple of Mystery records and the “For Her Light”, 2020, recorded and self-released despite COVID-19 related difficulties). The band has toured Italy in 2015 with Abysmal Grief and in 2016 with Cauchemar, while Europe was hit in 2019 with Black Oath (Path of Gloom tour, promoted by Killtown Bookings). Night Gaunt took part also to several European festivals (like Hammer of Doom 2016, Doom Over Vienna 2019, Haunting the Castle 2020) and shared the stage with Samael, Primordial, Messa, Solstice, Saturnus, Noothgrush, Mystifier etc… while continuously working on itself, its music and its shape.
Influenced by high contrasts and uncompromising, straight-from-the-guts artists like Celtic Frost, Leonard Cohen, Saint Vitus, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Portishead and Dissection, the band’s only purpose is to share a visceral, confessional moment with the audience while getting rid of any kind of genre related constriction.
After almost 4 years spent in the shadows, Night Gaunt will come back for their first european live appearances since 2020, marking also the band’s 10th anniversary, to present a new line-up and new music
